ECHO Foundation announces ‘Country on a Tin Roof’

kershawThe ECHO Foundation, benefiting Tomball Regional Medical Center, announced last week details of its summer fundraiser, “Country on a Tin Roof,” a special concert featuring country music artist Sammy Kershaw. The concert will take place at Tin Hall, one of “Texas’ Oldest Reception Halls,” on Saturday, July 17. Tin Hall has hosted special events for 120 years.

Kershaw has three platinum albums, two gold albums and was nominated for the Horizon Award by the Country Music Awards in 1993. All proceeds from this event will benefit Tomball Regional Medical Center.

The fun filled evening begins at 7 p.m. and will end at midnight. A barbeque dinner catered by the Hickory Barn will kick things off, with the night’s activities including a silent auction. Among the items up for bid will be autographed guitars from Sammy Kershaw and Jon Bon Jovi, Drew Brees and Tony Romo autographed jerseys, limousine, vineyard packages and more.

“We are delighted to have Sammy Kershaw perform for us at one of our summer fund raisers,” said Marilyn Kinyo, Director of the E.C.H.O. Foundation. “We are very grateful to our underwriter Dr. and Mrs. Glen Blaschke. Without their generous donation, time and effort this evening would not be possible.”

The ECHO Foundation was created in 1996 to advance the philanthropic and charitable contributions for improving healthcare services and programs at Tomball Regional Medical Center. Funds raised by the Foundation are used to further the hospital’s mission as a non-profit organization. The E.C.H.O. Foundation and Tomball Regional Medical Center (TRMC) are dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of Northwest Houston.
