| Chamber announces plans for 38th annual Tomball Night |
|
On Friday, Aug. 6, the city of Tomball will open its doors to residents and visitors as people come out to visit, shop, and be entertained at the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce’s 38th annual Tomball Night. There will be live music, children’s activities, drawings, door prizes, raffles and cash give-aways, along with the popular “Parade of Lights” down Main Street followed by a fireworks display. All these attractions have drawn thousands of people to Tomball Night for the past three decades. Tomball Night 2010 chairman Mary Harvey, owner of Granny’s Korner, has been working hard to make this a hot August night to remember. “From the hot retail discounts, to the parade of lights and grand finale fireworks, this year’s Tomball Night will sizzle,” she said. “This is such a special night when Tomball retailers, businesses and residents really shine with our unique brand of hometown hospitality.” Local businesses will stay open late and offer special sales. And while shopping, patrons should be sure to look for the “Mystery Shoppers,” who give out free cash if they are identified. Tomball Night fun lasts through the weekend, with sales and discounts continuing on Saturday and Sunday. Vendors add to shoppers’ choices and overall fun by lining Main Street for Tomball Night. Vendor spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sponsorship opportunities for this annual Tomball tradition are also available. All sponsors of Tomball Night will receive pre and post event publicity along with other considerations based on the level of sponsorship. The deadline for vendor and sponsorship applications is July 19. Applications are now available at the Chamber office, 29201 Quinn Rd., Ste. B, and online.
