Tomball Chamber announces Dixie USA’s Beeley as new director

chamber director The Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced Robert A. “Bob” Beeley has joined its Board of Directors. Beeley is chairman of Dixie USA Inc., located in Tomball. GTACC Chairman Leo Corley said Beeley has much to offer the Chamber Board.

“Bob will bring a tremendous amount of experience, integrity and humor to the board,” Corley said. “I am anxious to get to work with him.”

A native Texan, Beeley attended Stanford University before earning a bachelor’s of business administration degree from the University of Texas in 1962. Beeley went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps, first as a corpsman and later as a hospital administrator. He then worked in sales engineering for the Lincoln Electric Company, Big Three Industries before joining Dixie USA Inc. He also serves as vice president of JABA, Inc., a real estate holding company and is an advisory director with Amegy Bank of Texas.

In addition to his corporate duties, many in the Tomball area know Beeley as a fire commissioner in Rosehill and commander with the Southeast Texas Civil Air Patrol. He has also served as a trustee on numerous hospital, school, bank and government boards.

GTACC President Bruce Hillegeist said Beeley is a surprising man who adds professional photographer and pilot to his resume. Hillegeist said Beeley and Dixie USA offer more, as well.

“His company Dixie USA is a lifesaver to families like mine who have food allergies and need safe, flavorful alternatives.  We are proud to have their manufacturing plant here in Tomball on FM 2920 next door to the Arbor Gate,” Hillegeist said.

Beeley fills the GTACC Board of Directors vacancy left by David Scott of Devasco International, Inc.
