| Ingram Scholarship Foundation announces 2010 winners |
|
The phrase “Life can change in an instant” hit home for the family of Jeffery Ryan Ingram in October 2006 when Ingram unexpectedly died. With heavy hearts, Ingram’s family is keeping his memory alive and helping students follow their dreams in having a scholarship in his name.
Scholarships are given to students at Magnolia High School (from which Ingram graduated) and/or Magnolia West High School. The scholarships are awarded to a student who, like Ingram, has a fighting heart, strong dedication and love for life.
“Even people who knew Jeff for only a short time knew what his family has known all along: he was a smile you could count on, a loyal friend, hard worker, fierce competitor, fighting warrior and now, our angel,” his family stated in a press release. Members of the family of Jeffrey Ingram pose with scholarship winners from the Jeffrey Ingram Memorial Foundation at the recent Magnolia ISD awards banquet.
The Jeffery Ingram Memorial Foundation recently awarded three scholarships to Magnolia I.S.D. students. The winners were Alexandra Borden, Andrew Davis and Kellie Loukanis. They each were awarded $10,000. To date, the foundation has awarded $90,000 in scholarships. The foundation is pleased to announce its first scholarship winner, Justin McGee, graduated from Texas A&M University on May 15.
The next event for the foundation is the 4th Annual Scholarship Fundraiser, set for July 10 at High Meadow Ranch Golf Club. The event will include a golf tournament, barbeque, silent and live auctions and live music. For more information, visit www.thejeffingram.com.
