Suspects charged in Magnolia burglary tied to case in Montgomery

Deputies with the Montgomery County Constable’s Office captured two burglary suspects believed to be tied to another burglary that occurred on the same day.

George Dollery, 45, of Houston and Tammy Delaney, 45, of Plum Grove were arrested and charged with burglary of a building, a state jail felony, June 14 after deputies witnessed the two cutting locks at a storage center.

On June 14 at around 11 a.m., deputies with the Constable’s office witnessed from the roadway a man and a woman in front of a storage facility in the 3500 block of FM 149 cutting off locks with bolt cutters.

The suspects attempted to leave in their car, but deputies pulled them over and they were both apprehended.

According to the police report, the suspects told officers they were looking at open buildings to see if there was anything left they could have.

Deputies searched the suspects’ vehicle, where they found various items including copper wire and boat propellers.

Two Precinct 5 Sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene and notified the Constable’s office deputies they were working a burglary in the Montgomery area with the same vehicle that had occurred earlier in the day.
