Ren Fest gets in the Halloween spirit with ‘All Hallows Eve’

ren fest The Texas Renaissance Festival will present its annual “All Hallows Eve” Halloween celebration Oct. 30 and 31. Visitors will be invited to participate in the Festival’s contests to win season passes for 2010. Participants can compete in the renowned Halloween Costume Contests for children and adults, try their hand at a Jack-o-Lantern Carving Contest, scream their best in a Banshee Screeching Contest, or bite hard in a Candied Apple Eating Contest.

 The Texas Renaissance Festival is open to the public every Saturday, Sunday and Thanksgiving Friday, now through Nov. 28, and to students for School Days, Tuesday and Wednesday Nov. 2 and 3. The 53-acre New Market Village comes to life with eight individually themed weekends.

 

Visitors meander along shaded cobblestone walkways visiting more than 400 shops featuring unique arts and crafts or vendors offering international foods and beverages.

 

Tickets are available at discount ticket outlets throughout Texas and southwest Louisiana: HEB, Woodforest National Bank, Randalls, Market Basket stores and select Walgreens and Brookshire Brothers locations.

 

Tickets are also available on the Festival website at www.texrenfest.com or by calling 800-458-3435. The Festival is located 50 miles northwest of Houston at 21778 FM 1774, between Magnolia and Plantersville.

 

Parking is free and campsites are available for an additional charge.
