| Wife of Magnolia councilman arrested for DWI |
|
Clores Bramlett, 53, wife of Magnolia City Council member John Bramlett, was arrested in Magnolia on Nov. 22 around 4 p.m. for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Magnolia Chief of Police Domingo Ibarra said an emergency call was made to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office dispatch from a woman giving directions to Bramlett as she drove into Montgomery County.
According to the Magnolia Police Department incident report, Susan Alexander made the call to dispatch who then notified Magnolia PD officer Brian Clack that Alexander believed the vehicle was unable to maintain a single lane of traffic.
Clack then located Bramlett and her vehicle in the driveway of her Magnolia home where, according to the incident report, Bramlett identified herself as the driver and appeared to be intoxicated. She was then transported to Montgomery County Jail.
The No Refusal Program was in effect in Montgomery County at the time of the incident and Ibarra said that Bramlett volunteered to give a specimen. The incident report shows that a blood sample was obtained.
Attempts were made by the Tribune to contact John Bramlett for comment, but he did not return phone messages as of press time last week.

ANYONE however that knows Clores Bramlett knows beyond a doubt that the "Lady" doesn't drink and never has !! How did Officer Clack determine that she was intoxicated ?? She had driven from Austin home, a long drive and her walker and cane were in the back seat of the vehicle ? I personally had more respect for Officer Clack than he showed, I'v seen him with his elders.
How would any of you feel if an Officer pulled in your drive as you were attempting to get an active beloved pet out of the car along with your walking equipment. FEAR, that some thing had happened to one of your famly members !!
In all of the years that I've know John Bramlett I can't even say that I've seen him take a drink ??? I wish I could say that for the Princess of Magnolia ... Have any of you seen her without one ??? Perhaps only in Church ...
Sure gives all of us something to think about ... By the way, Mrs. Bramlett wasn't arrested during the No Rufusal time and in route to Montgomery when she was finally told why offered to Blow or Blood that should have been a wake up time.
Watch yourself Magnolia residents, it can happen to you !!
