Cook is the chair of the 2011 Chairman’s Ball committee and has served as a volunteer on the GTACC Golf Tournament Committee, Tomball Night Committee, 2010 Chairman’s Ball Committee and as a Chamber ambassador.

President Bruce Hillegeist said the award recognizes an individual who gives unselfishly to help the promotion of business in the Tomball community.

“Holly exemplifies the Chamber with her representation in the business community and her signature, warm smile,” Hillegeist said. “She has been faithful to the Chamber in so many ways through her service and the Chamber applauds her.”

Cook said she was very surprised to earn the award because so many people deserve it for their volunteer efforts.

“We chose Holly because she’s been involved in every Chamber event,” Vice President of Operations Brandy Beyer said. “She is an amazing volunteer and always follows through.”

Cook has lived in Tomball about 14 years and said this year she has had more time than in previous years, to share in order to help the Chamber.

“I have the time and they need the help,” Cook said. “It’s all about building better relationships and volunteering helps me do that.”

According to Hillegeist, the Chamber selects a recipient for this award each year based on outstanding service to the Chamber throughout the year. The award is the highlight of the annual Christmas luncheon.
