| Youth Opportunities Fair |
|
On Thursday, March 31 the City of Tomball will host its inaugural “Youth Opportunities Fair” for youth ages 15-19. The fair will be held at the Tomball Community Center (221 Market Street) from 2 to 4:30 p.m. This event will be an opportunity for businesses who utilize young adults as volunteers or in paid positions to set up a table and talk to the youth of Tomball about the benefits of working for their company.
This is a chance for the young adults to learn more about the businesses in the area that are willing to provide opportunities for them to gain business skills or volunteer hours. Companies that are slated to attend include HEB, the YMCA, Graco Awards, the U.S. Army, Abandoned Animal Rescue, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Chick Fil-A, OM Clinical Research, Habitat for Humanity, ITZ, Mountasia, Silverado 19, TOMAGWA, Tomball Police Department, Tomball Fire Department and Tomball Public Works.
There is still room for businesses who would like to take advantage of this opportunity. The city welcomes any area organization that has volunteer or paid opportunities for youth ages 15-19.
All area youth ages 15-19 are encouraged to attend and should come prepared to meet potential employers.
For more information, contact City Hall at 281-351-5484.
