Tomball dog rescuer pairs lost mother with abandoned puppies

johnson Tomball resident and dog rescuer Norine Johnson has been fighting for an abandoned litter of puppies’ survival and her wish finally came true.

Johnson took over care for a litter of 15 puppies after their mother was hit by a vehicle. The puppies, only 4-weeks-old, were struggling to survive without the nutrients from their mother. Johnson received information from another local dog rescuer that a stray dog had been found at a feed store along FM 1774 for 3 days and refused to leave. However, the stray appeared to be a mother herself.

Johnson took the stray in and she immediately accepted the puppies. Although Johnson was able to save the litter, she is still concerned that the mother’s lost litter is close by and not receiving what they need from their mother. For more information about the stray or the litter, contact Johnson at 281-381-5826. Johnson said she is also looking for homes for her litter of puppies.
