Tomball Pregnancy Center fundraisers coming in September

The Tomball Pregnancy Center (TPC) will host a benefit concert featuring the Quebe Sisters Band and a fundraising Walk and Golf Fore Life this September.

The Quebe Sisters Band benefit concert will be on Sept. 9 at Dosey Doe Coffee Shop in the Woodlands. The Quebe Sisters have appeared in concert with Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Merle Haggard, Asleep at the Wheel, Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers, Riders in the Sky, Mary Stuart among others. They are proud supporters of families, women and children in the Greater Houston Area.

The Walk & Golf Fore Life is an exciting family-oriented event with the sole purpose of raising funds to support TPC.  These funds not only cover basic operating costs but also enable the center to expand on the services currently offered free of charge to clients in the community. The center has just expanded its hours to being open 5 days a week.

“As a non-profit organization, the center relies solely on contributions from local churches, organizations and private donations,” TPC Executive Director Mary Cortez said.  “Our commitment to the value of human life at conception is supported by providing information, support and alternatives to those who find themselves in a crisis or unplanned pregnancy.”

The Walk and Golf Fore Life will take place Sept. 24 at High Meadow Ranch Golf Club in Magnolia. Golfers will enjoy 18 holes of golf. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. and a shotgun start is at 8 a.m.  Prizes include a Hole-In-One chance to win a trip to Hawaii, an iPad, Wii console with Wii Fit, golf set, two gently used electric scooters, gift cards and much more. Space is limited to 18 golf teams.

Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and the official start time for the walk is 10 a.m.  A celebration luncheon and prize ceremony for all participants will follow at 1 p.m.  Come enjoy lunch, prizes, a moonwalk, free T-shirts and more.  Registration forms for the event are available online at www.tomballpregnancy.com or by calling the pregnancy center at 832-559-7817.

To purchase tickets for this exciting night go to www.doseydoescoffeeshop.com.  Ticket price is $33. For every ticket sold, $30 will be donated to TPC.
