Tomball High theater department announces season schedule

Tomball STAGE – Tomball High School’s theatre department – announced its 2011-2012 season. 

 

·         The Nerd:  Sept. 15-17 & 20 at 7 p.m. and Sept. 17 at 2:30 p.m.  The Nerd, by Larry Shue, centers on the hilarious dilemma of a young architect who is visited by a man he has never met, but who saved his life in Vietnam.  The visitor turns out to be an incredibly inept, hopelessly annoying "nerd" who outstays his welcome with a vengeance. 

·         Beauty and the Beast:  Nov. 10-12 & 14 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 12 at 2:30 p.m.

·         Tomball High School Talent Show: Feb. 9-10 at 7 p.m.

·         UIL One-Act Play Dinner Theatre: April 10, dinner at 5:30 p.m. & performance begins 7 p.m.

·         A Night of Scenes:  May 10-12 & 14 at 3 p.m. and May 11-12 at 7 p.m.

 

Tickets are $8 online in advance, $10 at the box office in advance, and $12 on the day of the show.  Beauty and the Beast tickets are $10 online in advance, $12.50 at the box office in advance and $15 on the day of the show.  Children 12 and under can purchase tickets for $6 for the Saturday matinee performance of Beauty and the Beast.

 

Discount tickets for all Saturday matinee performances are $6 for those who are 65 or older.  These tickets can be purchased online or at the door.  All performances will be held at the Tomball High School Auditorium, located 30330 Quinn Road. The Tomball STAGE is also selling season sponsorships as a major fundraiser for the year.  sponsors receive complimentary tickets to each production, preferential seating, recognition in all programs, shirts, plaques, or certificates depending on the contribution level.  Sponsorships begin at $80 and can be purchased online by clicking on the membership tab.
