Tomball’s Second Saturday is Spooktacular

spooktacular Tomball’s Second Saturday event for October takes a spooky theme as the historic downtown area and Depot Plaza present the first annual “Spooktacular Bash!”

From the giant Trick-or-Treat at more than 20 downtown shops and restaurants, to the Creepy Caboose, Monster Maze and more at Depot Plaza, Second Saturday will be filled with “spirited” fun on Oct. 8.

Armed with free Trick-or-Treat bags, compliments of Harris County 911, children and their parents will explore shops and restaurants along Market, Main and Commerce Streets in search of candy and other treats between 3 and 5 p.m.

Participating Trick-or-Treat stops include:  Granny’s Korner, Cindy Jaeger’s, Naturally Nancy’s, Ginger’s Resale, Elite Antiques & Books, With These Hands, Refined Spaces, Joe’s Barber Shop & Salon, Magnolia Tree House of Tea, The Browsery, Whispering Willow, Market Street Bakery, Kelsey Creek Traditions, Sallie Fisher’s Custom Frames & Art Gallery, Tender Touch Gifts, The Bath Hut, GiGi’s, Quilter’s Crossing and Everything Bling.

There will be games and other activities for children beginning at 5 p.m. at the Depot.  Decorate a pumpkin courtesy of Tomball’s H-E-B, and kids in costume get a special free gift while supplies last.  They can even meet Cell Phone Sally from Harris County 911. 

Be sure to bring the lawn chairs and blankets and stay for the showing of “Casper” on the giant inflatable screen after dark.

There will be barbecue from G Que Barbecue and cool treats from Summer Snow, too.
