Chamber’s Holiday Parade entries available now

Entry forms for the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce 46th annual Tomball Holiday Parade on Saturday, Nov. 19, are now available.  Applications to participate in this year’s parade, All Texas, All the Time, are at the Chamber office, 29201 Quinn Rd., Suite B, and online at, TomballChamber.org. Parade applications are due on Friday, Oct. 21, by 5 p.m.

GTACC Tomball Holiday Parade Committee member Vicki Clark with CommunityBank of Texas commented on this year’s theme.

“Here in Tomball it is no secret that we are Texas-proud and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the holidays than with a Texas theme,” Clark said. “Entries in this annual holiday parade always amaze me by the sheer number. I am betting this year there will be more, maybe even some Texas-sized entries.”

The 2011 Tomball Holiday Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19 on Main Street at the railroad tracks and will travel west to Buvinghausen Road, where the route ends. The annual two-hour event heralds the season of holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day and draws thousands for the parade, lunch and shopping.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
