Adventure Racing thrives in Magnolia

indigo race Adventure racing is a triathlon style race incorporating kayaking, trail running, mountain biking and mystery finishes. Magnolia is growing roots with the outdoor racers as the Third Annual Adventure Indigo takes place on Saturday, Nov. 5.

Each year new obstacles are added to challenge the competitors. Last year competitors carried sand bags for the last half mile of the three mile trail run. This year more agility stations are being added.  What will the twist be this year?  Possibly an obstacle course, trek through the mud or maybe cable walking. The racers will have an unbelievable sense of accomplishment after completing the course. The race is limited to the first 75 racers who register and reserve their spot.

The race takes approximately two hours to complete.  It takes place within the neighborhood of Indigo Lakes Estates off of Nichols Sawmill. All competitors 12 years old and older are welcome. Racers can compete in one of five divisions: men or women singles, men or women doubles or co-ed doubles. This year racers can register online at www.active.com keyword Adventure Indigo.  For additional information, contact Brent Frenchak at 832-275-8240 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
