Magnolia honors Pearl Harbor vets Nov. 11 at the Depot

magnolia veterans day The Magnolia Historical Society is hosting its fourth annual Veterans Day celebration Friday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. at the Magnolia Depot, 426 Melton St.

 

This year's event will honor all veterans and active duty service men and women and will highlight Pearl Harbor veterans. Pearl Harbor veterans will arrive by limousine. Visit with these vets who are a noted part of WWII history.

 

The Magnolia Historical Society invites all military service personnel, former, retired or active duty, in the greater Magnolia area to attend.

 

"We just don't have the resources to find all our former and active duty service men and women," MHS Veterans Day Celebration Chair Katrina Welch said. "But we truly hope those veterans reading this will come and receive the recognition they deserve."

 

The public is invited to the free patriotic gathering, which will include speakers, live music and displays of military memorabilia. Honored guests–veterans, current military and their families–will be served a steak supper in the adjacent Community Building. Free hot dogs and drinks will be available for all others in attendance.
