LSC-Tomball to host Veterans Day celebration

Lone Star College-Tomball (LSC-Tomball) and the Lone Star College System Academy of Lifelong Learning will host a Veterans Day Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. to noon in the LSC-Tomball Performing Arts Center. The public is invited to this free commemorative event, especially veterans and family members of deceased veterans.

The program will include four brief presentations from veterans of World War II, the Korean conflict, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. Texas State Senator Dan Patrick will serve as the master of ceremony.

LSC-Tomball is located at 30555 Tomball Parkway, at the intersection of SH 249 and Zion Road. Attendees requiring a drop-off point near the main entrance of the Performing Arts Center may use the circular drive near the Beckendorf Conference Center. For more information on the Veterans Day Celebration, call 281-357-3676.

The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
