LSC-Tomball now registering for spring semester, winter mini-mester

Registration is now under way for the spring 2012 semester at Lone Star College-Tomball (LSC-Tomball). Spring classes for college credit, workforce development and continuing education start Jan. 17. Students are encouraged to enroll early to ensure the best selection of classes and times.

Registration is also under way for the winter mini-mester. The mini-mester is a way for Lone Star students and students from four-year universities to earn additional college credit and accelerate their graduation and/or transfer date. Courses begin Dec. 19 and run for three weeks. Advisors will be available during the mini-mester to provide support to students taking these classes.

LSC-Tomball classes are designed to fit a diverse spectrum of academic and career goals. In addition to on-campus, online and hybrid courses, the college is also offering spring classes at Magnolia High School on Monday and Wednesday evenings. To see the classes being offered for the upcoming semester, visit LoneStar.edu/Class-Search.

On-site registration is being held at LSC-Tomball until Saturday, Jan. 14. Registration is Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. LSC-Tomball is located at 30555 Tomball Pkwy.

Students may register online by going to LoneStar.edu and clicking on the “myLoneStar” link. New students, however, must first apply for admission at LoneStar.edu/admissions or in person at any Lone Star College System (LSCS) campus before registering for classes.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
