Former youth pastor stands accused of another sex crime

chad foster An area youth pastor already charged in a sexual assault of a minor, has now been charged with online solicitation of a minor.

Deputies with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office now allege that Chad Foster, 33, of Cypress, showed sexual images of himself to a 14-year-old girl.

According to court documents, the girl said she met Foster when he was the youth minister at Second Baptist Church and said she and Foster exchanged phone numbers and began texting.

“While they were communicating, the juvenile complainant stated (Foster) would initiate video communications with her via an online service known as Skype,” records stated. “This began right after Christmas 2010 when she obtained her new laptop computer.”

The documents also allege that Foster’s cell phone records show more than 15,000 texts were sent between the girl and Foster over a 10-month period this year.

The girl told investigators that Foster exposed himself to her more than a dozen times via Skype.

“The complainant stated (that Foster) would direct her to delete all the logs and records associated with their communications on numerous occasions,” court records stated.

Last November Foster was charged in a sexual assault case involving a 16-year-old girl whom he met while working at Community of Faith Church in Hockley.

According to court documents the 16-year-old said that Foster told her numerous times not to tell anyone about their encounters because he would “get in trouble.”

The girl eventually told one of her teachers, as well as another pastor at Community of Faith, who then notified the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Foster is now free on $20,000 bond.
