Regional economist offers 2012 economic forecast at First Friday

first friday Recently the Greater Houston Partnership reported that the Houston area economy has recovered, replacing 101 percent of jobs lost to the recession. Find out how this news affects you and your business, along with a 2012 area economic forecast, tailored for the Houston area, when Patrick Jankowski, regional economist and vice president of research at the GHP presents, “Happiness is the Great Recession in the Rearview Mirror.” Jankowski will speak Feb. 3 at the First Friday networking luncheon hosted by the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce (GTACC.)

 

Jankowski is a member of the Texas Economic and Demographic Association, the National Association for the Business Economics and the Commercial Real Estate Research Forum. Currently, he is president of The Houston Economics Club and he serves on the board of the Washington-based Council for Community and Economic Research. Jankowski has worked for the Greater Houston Partnership and its predecessor, the Houston Chamber of Commerce, for 30 years.

 

Each year GTACC offers its annual economic outlook at the February First Friday networking luncheon. The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Elmer L.
