Riley At Pct. 2 Commissioner Craig Doyal’s annual fundraiser April 16, he was joined by Congressman Kevin Brady, most of the county’s elected officials and hundreds of citizens. Doyal and Montgomery County Sheriff Tommy Gage recognized Pct. 2 Commissioner’s Assistant Charlie Riley for his service and efforts in the county.

“We just want you to know we appreciate you and all that you do,” Doyal told Riley.

Gage presented Riley, who he called “a friend and brother,” with an award that read “Thank you for your many years of exemplary service, loyalty and dedication to Montgomery County.”

Doyal pointed out that Riley has cooked barbecue for fundraisers across the county, and to illustrate his point, he asked that anyone in the crowd who had been benefited by one of Riley’s barbecues to raise their hand. More of those present had a hand raised than not.

Doyal then told the crowd that Riley and his wife, Deanne, were preparing to take a concealed handgun class, which he joked was in case someone who did not like Riley’s barbecue showed up to an event. Doyal then presented Riley with a Glock 9mm handgun.
