Brian ‘Head’ Welch plans Tomball concert at Salem

welch Brian “Head” Welch, ex-lead guitarist of Korn, will be in concert May 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Salem Auditorium and will feature music from his debut album, Save Me From Myself.

Pictured at left, Brian Welch gives his testimony at Salem Lutheran Church. The majority of Welch’s tattoos are Scripture verses with his favorite, Matthew 11:28, on his neck.

Welch’s debut album is a testimony to his life as he battled with drug addiction, leaving Korn and finding spirituality. Save Me From Myself is heavy, compelling and inspirational. It’s a rock ‘n roll journey unlike any other.

Welch gave his Christian testimony at Salem in February when he opened the evening with prayer “that God loves all kinds of people, even freaky people like me...and if he can take a rock star junkie and change him, then He can change anybody.”

Welch says Matthew 11:28 saved his life: “Come to me (Jesus says), all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.” Being in a relationship with Christ gave Welch new purpose and what he calls a “great adventure.”

This concert is at Salem Defy Auditorium at Salem Community Center. Limited ticket sales are available. No alcohol, food or smoking is permitted. Tickets are now on sale at defytheworld.org.

Salem is located at 22601 Lutheran Church Road, Tomball, west of Telge off FM 2920. For more information, call 281-351-8223.
