Attendants and participants also enjoyed a barbecue lunch donated and cooked by Charlie Riley and sponsored by Constable David Hill and Commissioner Craig Doyal. More than 500 people were in attendance at Magnolia Junior High, making it the largest crowd in the event’s history and helping to raise and donate more than $10,000 in new school clothes for Magnolia students in need.
All Magnolia ISD campuses were represented, along with surrounding private schools. Sign-up days for Magnolia ISD students in need of school clothing will be July 8 through Aug. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SOS office, located at 31355 Friendship Dr. in Magnolia.
