Two Magnolia teens arrested for alleged burglary

Two teens from Magnolia were arrested July 28 in The Woodlands during an alleged early morning burglary of two homes and a motor vehicle.

Mark A. Segovia, 18, and Chase C. Robbins, 18, both of Magnolia, were arrested along with Jakob T. Beaty, 17, of Montgomery and an unidentified minor.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a homeowner in The Woodlands who said he awoke to find a burglar in his home.

When authorities arrived at 3:43 a.m., they found that another homeowner was holding Segovia until law enforcement authorities arrived.

Authorities said Segovia had entered two homes through unlocked doors and had stolen money and small electronic equipment while the residents were inside the homes.

The men met at a nearby park and divided into two teams to look for unlocked homes and cars to burglarize, authorities said.

The three other men were found after deputies located a red Ford Mustang and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.  Property was found in the car that had been stolen from a vehicle on Silver Crescent Court in The Woodlands.

All four men were charged with two counts of Burglary of a Habitation and one count of
Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.
