| TOMAGWA’s annual ‘Boots’ ball offers up western fun for clinic |
|
TOMAGWA Health Care Ministries will be hosting its annual “Boots, Buckles and Band-Aid Ball” Nov. 6 from 6 to 11 p.m. at Wyndehaven Terrace, 12716 Cutten Rd. The event will feature food, live music and unique auction items, as well as “a twist of fun and surprises.” Tickets to the Ball are $75 per person, or $750 for a table for 10. A $1,000 table sponsorship includes a table for 10, name listed in the program, two bottles of wine and table signage. Sponsorship opportunities for the event are still available. According to TOMAGWA, the annual “Boots, Buckles and Band-Aid Ball” is a “refined western event” held each year to help raise funds for the clinic. TOMAGWA is a non-profit, nominal fee comprehensive family practice clinic that provides medical services regardless of race, creed, ethnicity, religion affiliation or the ability to pay. During this year’s event, Leora and Teddy Klein will receive TOMAGWA’s first Community Spirit Award. In addition, KPRC Channel 2 anchor Jerome Gray will serve as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies. Those who attend are encouraged to wear a themed costume or their best “wild west attire.” According to TOMAGWA, last year more than 150 professional and service oriented volunteers along with a small staff provided over 8,700 family member visits, from babies to grandparents, who could not afford medical care and were without health insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.
