Firefighters entered the main building and advanced hose lines into the office area to stop the spread of the fire into the main body of the office area and extinguished the fire. The office area of the church suffered heat and smoke damage but the fire was contained to the portable office building.  Additional units from Klein, Magnolia and Rosehill Fire Departments were called to help battle the blaze.  A unit from the Northwest Fire Department provided assistance at Tomball Station 1.

Tomball Fire Marshal Doug Sanguedolce and Fire Investigator Tommy Nicholson were called to the scene to investigate the origin and cause of the fire. The preliminary determination is that the origin of the fire was accidental and of an electrical nature. Additional investigation of the incident is continuing to pinpoint the exact cause
