Raj Hope Foundation to hold Second Annual Dinner and Dance

The Raj Hope Foundation recently announced it will be hosting its Second Annual Dinner and Dance for the Special Angels at April Sound Country Club on Lake Conroe on Dec. 6.

The foundation was founded in 2005 to help children who are mentally and physically challenged in the Magnolia and surrounding areas.

It was named after Raj Vansadia, a 2006 Magnolia High School graduate who suffers from Down Syndrome. His family helps run the foundation, including his sister, Megha, who serves as its president.

The seated dinner will be followed by dancing and a gift exchange. Organizers ask that guests of the event bring a gift, valued at no more than $20, which can be given to either a male or female.

Tickets for the event are $5 for child and $10 for each accompanying guest.

The registration deadline is Nov. 30. Those who wish to attend are asked to e-mail the foundation with the child’s name, parents’ name with two phone numbers and the total number of guests attending.

The foundation accepts cash or check, made payable to: Raj Hope Foundation, at the sign-in table on the day of the event.

The Raj Hope Foundation’s dream is to “see one hundred special angels attend” and is “committed to making this an annual holiday tradition,” according to a recent press release.
