Tomball spelling bee winner headed to city-wide competition

Dr. Joan Slater, Tomball ISD’s Director of English Language Arts, presents Willow Creek Elementary fourth grade student Kevin Wang with a first place trophy for winning the district’s Annual Spelling Bee. Twelve students who won their campus spelling bees took part in the district bee. Wang won by correctly spelling the word “enfranchise.” He will participate in the Houston PBS Spelling Bee in March.
