Candidates set for Tomball election

With the March 8 deadline to enter for a spot on the May 8 Tomball City Council election ballot having passed, all of the candidates are in place. And not much has changed in the past month.

Rick Brown and Bill Webb will face off for the Council Position 3 seat, which is currently held by Webb and Judith Wilson will take on Gretchen Fagan for Mayor. Fagan has served as Tomball mayor for the past two years.

Webb, also a former mayor, won his spot on the council in 2008. Brown is a first time Tomball political candidate and is in his first race for public office.

Wilson is also a newcomer to Tomball political races, while Fagan previously served for two years on the city council before replacing H.G. “Hap” Harrington as city mayor two years ago.

Wilson is a local small business owner and has lived in Tomball for 12 years. Fagan is an independent insurance business owner and has been a Tomball resident for eight years.

Webb, who currently works in the retail industry, has lived in Tomball for 50 years. Brown is the head minister at ChristBridge Church in Tomball and has lived in the city fo the past 11 years.

This year’s election is scheduled for May 8, with voting at Tomball City Hall, located at 401 Market St., open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Early voting begins April 26 and runs through May 4. On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday of early voting, polls will be open from 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Tuesday and Friday, from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.
