| Annual Red and White game to feature Texans cheerleaders, mascot |
|
Activities for this year’s game have been greatly increased and will offer fun for the whole family. Kids’ games include a football throw, teacher dunking booth, face painting and an obstacle course used by the Houston Texans. Wristbands for $5 provide unlimited games for kids. The event’s entertainment will also include appearances by Houston Texans cheerleaders as well as Texans mascot, Toro. Barbeque plates will be available for $10. The honorary captains for each squad will be Tomball Police Chief Rob Hauck and Tomball Fire Chief Randy Parr. The Freshman Red and White game will kick off at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Varsity/Junior Varsity game at 6:30 p.m. Each game will feature the Tomball Cougar offense taking on the Cougar defense in the annual spring scrimmage.

Maybe bringing in the Texans Cheerleaders and Mascot will bring some excitement to the annual Red and White game. As a long-time Tomball resident I remember back in the 1980's and early 1990's when football was pretty exciting around here. Of course back then Tomball was a winning program and had alot of support from the community. I guess it's hard to get real fired up about it now when you have only won five games in three years. I hope things take a turn for the better this upcoming season, Tomball is long overdue for a winning season.
