Magnolia FFA fishing tournament benefits Special Olympics

ffa bass tourney Future Farmers of America (FFA) students from both Magnolia and Magnolia West high schools recently joined to sponsor a bass tournament. Thirty-eight teams, each consisting of two high school students, were entered into the tournament.  

 

The team of Michael Kenjura and Matt Golden won $300 for the largest bass and $300 for the largest stringer of five fish. The tournament was held in the lakes behind Magnolia High School. Jeff Anderson, Buddy Smith and Greg Golden (FFA sponsors), along with the contestants, presented Patty Havlin, coach of the Magnolia Magic Special Olympics teams, with a check for $1,400.
