THS' Wooten wins state pole vaulting title

wooten Tomball High School sophomore Brittany Wooten won the pole vault competition at the UIL State Track Meet, held in Austin. Five-foot, three-inch tall Wooten jumped 12 feet, 6 inches to clear the bar and claim the gold medal. She has participated in track since she was in the seventh grade. Wooten was inspired to take up pole vaulting after talking with her father about his high school pole vaulting career.
