THS Charms pick up awards at annual Leadership Camp

ths charms The Tomball High School Cougar Charms Drill Team officers were honored with awards and ribbons during the Marching Auxiliary Officer Leadership Camp in Houston. More than 500 drill team officers nation wide took part in the camp. The Cougar Charm military and social officers learned new dances and leadership skills during the week long camp. The team’s military officers (first row, from left), Lt. Mackenzi Vereide, Lt.t Bridget Vatuna, Lt. Major Heidi Funk, Major Ashley Dunbar, Lt. Marina Dultra and Lt. Haley Sealy received a plaque for their outstanding home routine. They also received ribbons in the discipline, home routine and choreography categories, as well as two additional ribbons for dances they learned at the camp.  They also received the highest award possible, which was the Circle of Gold trophy. The social officers (second row, from left) include Social Coordinator Kirsti Gonzales, New Member Liaison Amanda Flickinger, Social President Michelle Santana, Social Vice President Emily Lanier and Social Coordinator Karley Emmott.
