Waller Lady Bulldogs keep up winning ways

waller volleyball The Waller Lady Bulldog varsity volleyball team now sport  a 21-3 record, after another successful week of competition.

 

On Aug. 30 the Lady Bulldogs defeated Caldwell (25-23, 20-25, 18-25, 26-24, 15-9) and dominated Willis (25-16, 25-20, 25-20) on Sept 2.

 

The Lady Bulldogs also came out on top in the two day Santa Fe Varsity Tournament on Sept. 1 and Sept. 3 by defeating South Houston (25-8, 25-8), Rockwall (25-19, 25-22, 25-13), Crosby (25-22, 25-22), Port Neches-Grove (25-18, 26-24), Huntsville (25-15, 25-22), and Barbers Hill (19-25, 25-20, 25-16). Junior Taylor Thomas and Junior Morgan Heise were named to the All Tournament team. Senior Kamryn Dimas was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Kelsey Johnson was the varsity player of the week.

 

In sub-varsity action, the junior varsity team defeated Willis (27-25, 25-8) and Sam York was named Junior Varsity player of the week. The sophomore team defeated Caldwell (25-15, 25-2), and Jordan Foster was named sophomore player of the week. The freshman A team beat Caldwell (20-25, 25-20, 25-16) and Willis (25-13, 25-14). Megan Allen was named the freshman A player of the week. The freshman B team lost to Willis (21-25, 13-25). Byrkley Husky was named freshman B player of the week.
