Tomball's Lynch picked to lead South All-Stars

lynch Tomball High School head baseball coach Rick Lynch was named head coach for the 2009 4A/5A All-Stars North Region team.  The 36th Annual All-Star game was played in June in Round Rock, and was comprised of the finest senior 4A and 5A baseball players from the North Region. Lynch’s team represented the South Region of the area. The game was organized by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association. Lynch was selected as the head coach for his experience and rapport with students. Lynch recently completed his ninth season as the head baseball coach at Tomball High School, where he has complied a 194-80 record.  He was the 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006 District Coach of the Year and the American Baseball Coaches National Coach of the Year in 2004.  He has worked in education for 27 years, and earned his bachelors in physical education and health from Sam Houston State University in 1981.
