THS football players receive academic honors

Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) and State Farm Insurance recently announced the Class 5A THSCA Academic All-State football team for 2009-10. The teams are selected by a point system that awards points for GPA, class rank and SAT or ACT scores. The student athletes are then placed on teams according to the number of points they have earned. The following Tomball High School seniors were named to the Academic All-State team. First team: Cody Caspersen and Seth Houston; second team: Daniel Dawson, Howie Ewers, Jacob Frederick, David Pearson, David Trotter and Travis Williams; honorable mention: Mitchel Goodman, Jordan Leslie, Chris Pritchard, Danny Shaklovitz and Bryce Siecko.
