4-time Olympian visits Tomball

gonzales On Feb. 25 four-time Olympian Ruben Gonzales made a visit to Tomball to speak with the employees of Graco Awards. Gonzales competed for the Argentinean National Team as a luger in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Gonzales, who lives in Houston, first competed at the 1988 Calgary Olympics. He also appeared in the 1992 Albertville, France games and the 2002 Salt Lake City games. Gonzales shared his story of how he fulfilled his dream of being an Olympic athlete despite what he described as a lack of athletic talent. “I’m not an athlete,” he said. “I can’t run fast, I can’t jump high. But I knew right away this was my adventure.” Graco Awards provided Olympic pins for Gonzales to share with other athletes in Vancouver.
